Happy Wednesday dears! I hope everyone is having a lovely week thus far. I am really, really wishing my wish were true this week….
I wish that I were in the LAX airport. I am sitting patiently, reading, and every minute or so glancing around to see all the faces that I will share this flight with. It is going to be a long flight. 24 hours including the layover in Frankfurt, Germany. I look calm on the outside, but my heart is racing a mile a minute. I can barely read my book with all the thoughts of the adventure that awaits me flying through my head. There are women with saris, businessmen, and loads of small children. It is going to be a noisy flight. A voice finally comes over the loudspeaker announcing that it is time to start boarding. I stand from my seat, take one big breath in as I say goodbye to my country and begin boarding the plane.

I wish I was spending the day at a cool, misty Pacific Northwest beach. In the early evening, just before dusk, I’d take a walk in some woods near the beach. Hearing what sounds like tiny laughter, I’d stumble upon a grove of gnomes playing amongst the toadstools and weeds!

I wish I was on Navy Pier in Chicago. It is dusk, and a breeze is coming off the lake to cool down the city. My best friend and I trot arm-in-arm through the shops inside, looking at all the pretty jewelry and trinkets up for sale. Once the sun is almost completely set, we get some ice cream and head outside to get good seats for the fireworks show her dad will be setting off shortly!
Luckily my What I’m Wishing will come true on Saturday

Oh! I read the alchemist… but for some reason I really didn’t enjoy it. It’s funny though, because most people who’ve read it think it’s one of the greatest books they’ve ever read but I just didn’t get why. Maybe someday I’ll re-read it and give it another chance.
Today, I wish I were sitting in the little outdoor balcony of a fancy hotel room suite. The sun would be shining brightly and I’d hop into my brand new strapless bikini to tan. Besides me I would have a platter of delicious cupcakes to eat and some Norah Jones playing softly in the background. Afterwards, I would grab a friend and go underwear shopping! =)

We just found out we’re pregnant! I’m so very excited. My wish is not going to come true with this pregnancy, but I wish that someday I’m pregnant on a July 4th. I’ll eat lots of watermelon and watch the fireworks.
I should be due in mid February. Maybe a valentines baby!
