While we all love to hear about how you interpret the challenge, whether or not you share your results is entirely up to you. Write someone a letter.
Is there someone in your life that taught you a lesson that changed your life? Have you continuously looked to one person when you needed a shoulder to cry on? Is there someone who has been a continuous source of advice or inspiration? Think of one person (or more if you would like) who has had a huge impact on your life, and let them know on paper how important they have been in shaping your life, and how much they mean to you. Make your letter as long or as short as you want it to be, but write from the heart.
After you have written your letter come back here and tell us about it, or share the whole letter and the story about this important person. I plan on writing a letter to my grandmother, who sadly is no longer alive, but she changed my life and opened up my eyes about so many things in life. I feel I have so much to say to her, and so much to thank her for.

At last! A challange I have time for because I do it regularly. Perhaps not always to a person who has completely changed my life, but I love writing letters to my friends.
Every summer I go on a very very long “vacation” (I put it in quotes, because I really stay in a family apartment every year) and am always away from my friends and those I care about. I think letters are a great way to stay in contact with those people that you never seem to get on the telephone, and when they write back they have no idea how much it brightens my day, as I often get very lonely on my only.
So, for this challange I wrote to a very dear friend of mine who, even though we rarely get time to spend together even when we’re in the same city, has always written to me over the years and made my summers always sunny.

I may have to do two. At first I planned to write to my friend Amber, who I have meant to write to for a long time. But then last night, I dreamt that I was hanging out with my seventh grade teacher, so maybe that’s a sign! I have no idea how I’d find him - he has a common name.

Liina- That is wonderful! You could contact your former school, I bet they could forward the letter to your old teacher!
