Happy Wednesday! I have had a super busy day today, and am just now getting around to creating an outfit! Make sure to read last weeks wishes.
I wish that instead of running errand I was sitting on the beach with a huge Pina Colada in hand and the freshest pineapple spilling over the side. I would spend hours browsing fashion magazines and make sure to lather up well with SPF 45. In the evening I would watch the sun go down, and mosey along the edge of the water slightly drunk from all the pina coladas.

This week, I’m having a wish for my fantasy first day of school as a High School Lit Teacher in a co-ed private school. The school building is old, with heavy solid banisters (which the young men with shaggy hair slide down) and marble stairs, and real chalk boards that slide on casters. The ceilings are high and the windows narrow but frequent, with a view of lush, old green trees and an immaculate lawn on the grounds. Afternoon sunlight filters through chalk dust. My passion for literature, while not always contagious, is endearing to my students, and they bring out their best work.

I am wishing that I were in the highest tree in the rainforest, having a picnic atop the branches. I can look out for miles around, peering over the tree tops, having an entirely different vantage point on the world below. I am wishing that I brought my blanket, and spread it over the canopy, and took a nap on top of the world.

I’m a little late on my Wednesday Wish but I figure I can make a wish any time of the week :).
Instead of studying for finals, I wish I were traveling the stars with The Doctor. (Of the BBC sci-fi television show Doctor Who) I’ve got my TARDIS key necklace, my brainy-specs and of course, the trainers. Now all that’s missing is a sonic screwdriver!
