Happy Friday to all you lovelies! What a beautiful but sad day I am having. One of my closest friends is moving away. We went this morning and got some iced tea, I helped her load up the U-Haul, and then we went and had some pho for lunch. It is so hard to say goodbye to people you love so much, and that are such a regular part of your life. (Ashlee, if you are reading this, I love you and think you need to come home now!!)

On a lighter note…it is Friday! I hope you all have fun activities scheduled for the weekend. Since the day isn’t over yet, here are some fun little things to look through while we anxiously await the weekend!

Earlier this morning I discovered the incredible art of Kevin Dart. Browse through his gallery and look at what amazing work he does.

In case you didn’t already know; I am in LOVE with bananas, especially combined with chocolate and in the form of a dessert. These Caramelized Roasted Banana Swirled Brownies sound beyond incredible.

These darling Marshmallow Favors that Lidian posted over on Kitchen Retro are far too cute. Even though I’m not a fan of marshmallows, I almost want to buy a bag so I can play with my food!!

Read this interesting little news story about a message in a bottle that was discovered over twenty years later! Stories like that just make me smile….

I recently came across this incredible photo series called The Life of American Vagabonds and I can not stop looking at the photos.

The Well Seasoned Cook posted an incredible looking dessert; Rose Rice Pudding. Yum!

If you have not yet seen the etsy shop, Lisa’s Paperdoll, then you should definitely go check it out. While you are there look at the Lindsay Lohan mug shot earrings. Hilarious!

Apartment Therapy posted a very useful article; How to Organize Your Fridge. This one is really helpful to me, my fridge is always so packed to the brim. Because of all the chaos I can never think of anything to make!

I am a huuuge Miyazaki fan, and just today stumbled upon this incredible paper craft of Howl’s Moving Castle.

Fresh Strawberries with Sweetened Balsamic sound like the most perfect Spring time dessert. I just bought some strawberries today and am going to make them this weekend!

Does anyone else remember this show? I loved it as a little girl, and just came across it on You Tube!

Have a wonderful rest of the day!

xoxo,

Cedar

    Long comment here today!

Your favorite photos are so pretty today! I love the produce theme!

I’m sorry to hear that your friend is leaving. This hit a note in me because I this week my boyfriend got accepted to grad school! We’ll be moving about 3 hours away from the town I’ve lived MY WHOLE LIFE in. Ever since I learned we were moving, I’ve been contemplating requesting a post from you about moving to a new place (especially for the first time!) ;)

But back to this post - OMG carmelized banana brownies!? I keep wanting to try out some of the awesome baking recipes I see on blogs - I’m not much of a cook, but it’s hard to go wrong with goodies, even if they don’t turn out picture perfect!

Oooooooone more thing, I notice that you post links to Apartment Therapy stuff every so often, and wondered if you’d ever read the book that started the site? I’ve been reading it and doing the exercises and love it a lot - the exercises are broken down into perfectly “do-able” chunks and it’s really improving my home life. Ironically or not, right while I’m getting very close to my home, we find out we’re moving at the end of summer! (although according to many feng shui books, the movement of energy in our home might have influenced this opportunity!)

Liina- Congrats to your BF, that is fantastic! I would love to write a post about moving to a new location! I have done quite a bit of moving around in my life, so there may even be something of value in there!! ;)
I haven’t read the Apartment Therapy book, but it is on my to do list…especially after your recommendation, it sounds right up my alley!
