What I’m Wishing

April 16, 2008

You guys did so well with last week’s What I’m Wishing that I have been looking forward to posting this week’s since then! I am really, really loving this new section, and I hope you all are as well.

Since last weekend I have been thinking about what my wish for this week would be. I browsed Polyvore, for a while looking for some inspiration. Then I saw this dress, and was blown away completely. It is so amazingly beautiful, soft, feminine, and the color is incredible. It is a total fairy princess dress! What would a girl in this dress do?

I wish that I lived in an old fashion Dutch style home in the country. About two minutes walk from my back door is my very own secret garden. It is guarded by an eight foot wall covered in moss and ivy, and contains every kind of flower that comes to mind. A mother bird has made her nest right inside the entry way, and is sitting on her eggs. Every single day around three I go and sit in my garden, write in my journal, and drink hot tea. On this one day in particular the air is cool, but not cold, and the smell is strong of chrysanthemum. Upon entering my garden the mother bird gives a little chirp of hello. I have brought my paints, canvas, and easel, and I quickly set up shop and begin painting my surroundings. With such peaceful surroundings ideas start flowing, and I paint my best work of art yet.

Now it is your turn! What are you wishing for this week? What do would you be wearing? Where are you?

One of my dreams is to photograph a wedding for a celebrity or high profile person.
I would arrive an hour before the bride had even woken up, ready downstairs to begin documenting her day. My assistant was already photographing the groom, ready for my call to switch for awhile and let me head on over to his place.

My glasses are pushed up onto my head, pulling my hair back in a relaxed way. My slacks allow easy maneuvering when needed, allowing me to get to where I need to to get each perfect shot.

The bright colors give me a unique look, so I’m easy to locate for the bride and her attendants.

    Crisp, professional and fun.

OK, This is what I’d like to be wearing whilst spending a vacation day in Glenwood Springs, CO walking around “downtown” checking out the kitchen shops, the natural foods market, the bookstore and the fabric store! Eventually I’d grab a coffee and head to the park to relax with a copy of the local paper and watch people play. Soaking up the first big sunshiny day of spring!

Oh I wish for things too. That sounds wonderful.

I wish to be rolling across Route 66 in the late 40s, unknowingly leading the Beat movement. I want to be speeding in the car, my hands waving in the air sporadically, jiving to the rhythm of our own words, with Cedar of course.

First time posting here. Hi y’all.

I wish I was in some empty field with my boyfriend, wearing a light sundress, on a big blanket, with a picnic basket full of delicious food (and dessert!), and we’d lie there under the huge, bright blue sky, look at the shape of the clouds, and just be carefree and away from all the stress of life…
