Wooden Jewelry

March 6, 2008

I absolutely love wooden jewelry. The most simple piece of wooden jewelry can add a certain flare to an outfit like no other jewelry can. It can really bring together an outfit, giving many outfits a more natural looking, but can also look quite elegant.

I used to steal a pair of my mother’s myrtlewood earrings that I just adored. They were simple, small buttons and I thought they were so hippie elegant.

I wish I still lived near the Oregon coast so that I could go shopping for more myrtlewood jewelry!

Oh gosh, I love wooden jewelry too! I don’t have near enough of it, but if I see it in a store I always have to oogle at it. I’ve come across some pretty wooden jewelry on Etsy, too. And the day my friend told me he carved his girlfriend I ring, I about died in jealousy, hahaha.

I just found some gorgeous earrings on Etsy– they’re a little pricey, but I just got them in the mail and they are breathtaking! They’re over at http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5458651

I got the “Kingwood” ones, but I think they should be called “Queenwood”!
